Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) in the United Arab Emirates installed 53 elevators equipped with new non-contact technology, to prevent the spread of covid-19.This work was carried out in collaboration with the company Meta Touch. The airport placed these elevators with Tchk technology (keyboard without keyboard) to prevent cross infections from interacting with the buttons, and the AUH is also seeking to declare itself a center free of coronavirus.
"We are constantly introducing new solutions at Abu Dhabi Airport to contain the spread of Covid-19 and offer a safe, smooth and seamless travel experience for all our customers," said Shareef Hashim Al Hashmi, director of Abu Dhabi airports. Dhabi.
The Tchk is a contactless control panel that allows passengers to control the lift without physically pressing a button. Simply wave your hands in front of the panel to indicate the desired floor or direction.
The airport has implemented different sanitary measures within its facilities, ranging from temperature measurement, social distancing, the use of face masks and gloves, among others, to guarantee the well-being of travelers.
